The Nga Hau Mangere Birthing Centre, designed by FPA in collaboration with stakeholders, features 20 self-contained birthing suites each with a private bathroom. The building's design, inspired by the nurturing form of a mother's embrace, includes a reception foyer, administration offices, central amenities, and 820m² of support tenancies. The architecture incorporates local cultural elements, with curved tiled walls and patterned columns reflecting Mangere's rich heritage. This center aims to serve the diverse community with a facility that honors their cultural narratives.
